Klamath River Salmon Fishing

Image
Well, look what I found on my days off...Did some bobber fishing on the Lower Klamath River and this one couldn’t resist the pro-cured caviar. Didn’t see a lot of fish rolling but that doesn’t always mean they are not home. We are now booking our fall salmon and steelhead trips on the Klamath River and still have plenty of dates in September and a few in October. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to put some meat in the freezer this fall, pick up the phone and give us a call.

Klamath River Fishing

Klamath River Fishing looks to be on track for a pretty good salmon and steelhead season. The fish are milling around in the in the estuary and keep moving in and out with the tides. I have heard some reports of steelhead being caught in the lower section of the river, and a friend of mine told me today he has been seeing a few salmon each day. I was able to get some photos of a few sturgeon hanging out in the tribes holding tank at the mouth of the Klamath thought I might share with folks..

Rogue River Salmon Fishing

Image
The salmon fishing on the Rogue River this spring has been pretty darn good. We have been getting a few opportunities a day and most of time ending up with a fish or two.  Back-bouncing pro cured eggs has been the ticket for us, the plugs have been getting a few fish as well. The fall fish will be showing up soon and the predictions are looking good for the Klamath, Sacramento, and Columbia river systems. We are expanding our operation this year and will be running fall trips for the mighty KINGS on the Klamath and Rogue Rivers. We are filling up fast so if you want to come have a great time give me a call. 530-598-0530

Spring Chinook

The Spring Chinook season on the Rogue and Umpqua rivers are fast approaching. We are starting to fill our May and June dates, and I wanted to let folks know before its too late. Spring Chinook are the best tasting salmon you will ever eat, but that bounty comes with a price tag. The spring chinook on the west coast rivers are one of the most challenging fish to catch, and thats what keeps me on the chase year after year. Here are a few of the tasty treats we enjoyed last spring.  If you want to see what the springer hype is all about give us a call and lets go hunt some salmon. We will be operating out of Shady Cove and Roseburg Oregon this year running drift boat trips for 2 people. We are advertising a great deal for this springer season, if you book 2 trips with us the second day is half off. Contact us today. gomer_p2000@yahoo.com 530-598-0530

There is some talk of a few springers getting caught and we are starting to book our spring Chinook trips on the Rogue and Umpqua rivers. Do not let this springer season pass you buy and give us a call today to see what we have in store for the 2015 season.
