Rogue River Salmon Fishing

Image
The salmon fishing on the Rogue River this spring has been pretty darn good. We have been getting a few opportunities a day and most of time ending up with a fish or two.  Back-bouncing pro cured eggs has been the ticket for us, the plugs have been getting a few fish as well. The fall fish will be showing up soon and the predictions are looking good for the Klamath, Sacramento, and Columbia river systems. We are expanding our operation this year and will be running fall trips for the mighty KINGS on the Klamath and Rogue Rivers. We are filling up fast so if you want to come have a great time give me a call. 530-598-0530

Winter Steelhead

Winter Steelhead We did some scouting this week and found a few nice winter fish. The chrome bright steelhead are making their journey home and the fisherman are in hot pursuit. We got all of our fish side-drifting yarn and eggs. The fishing pressure was pretty high and most boats got a fish and the guides are seeing 3 to 5 fish per boat.We are moving our operation up north to offer trophy steelhead trips this season. I have lots of days left to fill so get a hold of me if you want to wet a line.

Rogue River Salmon fishing continues to be good, we got 2 bites and put one in the net. Whitney finally got to go springer fishing and put the smack down on a wild Chinook. The month of July should continue to be fair fishing with even better weather.

Rogue River Salmon Fishing

Here is some fish porn for all you die hard's with the fever.  We spent the last few days grinding out the springers and enjoyed some nice weather doing so. The rogue river salmon fishing has been tough but we have been getting a couple opportunities a day and if luck has it we get a bite to stick and put some meat in the boat. The spring Chinook season on the Rogue River is closing in on the mid point so you still have time to wet a line.  Jed and his son Mike came out and put in some work, Mike got his first salmon on his first drift boat ride. Ja Zelle with help from her dad Rudy put a wild one in the net. First hole, first bait, first trip, and first fish...

OK I am starting to feel like a broken record, but the Klamath River is pumping out some nice winter steelhead in some pretty impressive numbers. We got nice fish to the boat today and its only the middle of December. All of our fish today we caught on yarn and eggs while sidedrifting in the riffles .
