Klamath River Fishing

The steelhead season is well under way on the Klamath River, we fished for steelhead and ended up getting some salmon to participate as well. The Klamath River Fishing is always good and the famous half-pounder season is known for action packed days. We ended up with 6 adult steelhead, 5 salmon and countless trout on the MIGHTY K. The next two months is going to be a season to remember. We have 12 days left to fill for our 2014 season so if you haven't booked yet give me a call.

Paul and Diana fished with us today and was able to put some fish in the cooler. We had salmon rolling all around us and enjoyed a nice day on the river. They ended up getting some salmon and steelhead out of the Klamath River today. We picked up our fish side-drifting yarn and eggs. The Klamath River Fishing is starting to pick up with fresh chrome showing up daily, we should see steady fishing for 3 months..

The Klamath River fishing is on fire right now. We are seeing lots of adult and jack salmon in the middle sections of the river. The steelhead are also here and if you have never experienced a salmon steelhead combo trip on the klamath river in the fall you should add it to your bucket list. This is looking like another good start to the famous half pounder season on the Klamath River.

The Klamath River Fishing is off to a good start this fall. We have been seeing allot of fish all the way up in Happy Camp. We went 3 for 6 today on the salmon using floats and pro-cured eggs. The Steelhead are rising and the Kings jumping all over the place. This run is a few weeks ahead of schedule and with the commercial quota already meet and the subsistence season not to far behind the sport fisherman should have a great year on the Klamath River. We are booking up fast and have only a few dates left for our Klamath season so give us a call if you want to rip lips.

Klamath River Fishing (KINGS)

Klamath River fishing is starting to pick up, the last few weeks the jacks and the steelhead have been piling in. This week the guides on the lower river have been seeing 2 to 4 adult KINGS per boat. This beast was taken on some pro-cured eggs. Despite the low water conditions fish have been moving in and hanging out near the creeks and riffles.

The season is a changing and the springers are starting to move in. I have a couple dates left open in May but they wont last long so let me know if you want to get one.

I took advantage of the high water and did some scouting  (bank fishing) today. Take a look at what I found. Fresh winter steelhead moving in and as soon as the river shapes up, the winter season should be in full swing. The Klamath River fishing has been incredible this year, it has been steady since mid September. Took Bob and Landin fishing today on the Klamath River, and dispite a tough bite we picked up a dozen steelhead. We were side drifting and pulling plugs while chasing the sun.

Took the Perez family fishing and got into some nice Klamath River steelhead. We were side drifting and covered 6 miles of river and found the fish in the faster water. Take a look at this hatchery fish its the largest keeper I have seen up this high in the river system. Chance hooked and landed his first fish and I have a feeling his dad has a new fishing partner.

Winter steelhead fishing on the Klamath River has been off the HOOK. We have not received and rain and river is running at summer flows but the fish are moving in and with the warmer weather the fish are feeding.

OK I am starting to feel like a broken record, but the Klamath River is pumping out some nice winter steelhead in some pretty impressive numbers. We got nice fish to the boat today and its only the middle of December. All of our fish today we caught on yarn and eggs while sidedrifting in the riffles .
