Klamath River Steelhead
The Klamath River fishing for steelhead is off to a good start so far this fall. I got a few solid days of steelhead slaying in before the river blew out on me. The salmon are spawning and the steelhead are feeding. We were getting 15 to 20 fish a day with a few nice adults. The 8 inches of rain we got on the west side of the Klamath brought the river up and with it came the remaining salmon that were stuck in the ocean due to the mouth of the river being sanded closed. The steelhead came pouring in with the rain and I strait whacked on the fish the first two days of the storm. I will be back on the grind tomorrow after the river greens up a little more and I am willing to bet my boat we will see the best fishing of the season. I have four days open 10/30, 11/11, 11/13, and 11/20 so book your trip ASAP. I have 3 other guides running trips for me this year so if you can't make one of my dates work but you want to rip some steel lip let me know and I will find a boat for you. "FISH ON"
"the fish don't mind the rain, they are already wet"
