Umpqua Steelhead Fishing

Image
Umpqua River fishing guides are finding a few fresh winter steelhead. We spent last last weekend trying to find places to fish do to recent rains. The river was still a little high but managed to hook into a a couple nice fish. The guides were picking up 3 to 5 fish a boat, with the plunkers doing just as good if not better. The rivers are dropping into shape and should start to fish good in the coming weeks. If you haven't booked your winter steelhead trip you might want to get on the horn, the peak of the season is coming soon and you don't want to miss out on these chrome rockets. (530) 598-0530

Winter Steelhead

Winter Steelhead We did some scouting this week and found a few nice winter fish. The chrome bright steelhead are making their journey home and the fisherman are in hot pursuit. We got all of our fish side-drifting yarn and eggs. The fishing pressure was pretty high and most boats got a fish and the guides are seeing 3 to 5 fish per boat.We are moving our operation up north to offer trophy steelhead trips this season. I have lots of days left to fill so get a hold of me if you want to wet a line.

Klamath River Winter Steelhead

Image
We have been combing the entire Klamath River looking for fish this last week and we finally found some. The Klamath River Steelhead fishing was really good today on the lower river. We ended up getting 4 nice adults and countless smaller half-pounders. The winter fish are moving in and the fishing is heating up. I have some open dates so if you want to take a shot at a double digit fish give me a call and we will go get em.
