Steelhead fishing on the Klamath River.

Image
Scott and Kerry fished today and got fish on the fly rods, the plug rods, and the sidedrifters. The bite was slow in the morning then defiantly picked up in the afternoon. The fly fisherman ended up with the highest tally of adults this weekend. Good job guys and see you soon.

Darren and his son Brady fished with us today on the Klamath River and both of them got there first steelhead. We were sidedrifting and pulling plugs today and ended up with around 10 metal heads. At the end of an all day trip on the river you know you planted the bug when an 8 year old says "I don't want to be done I want to go up and do it again".  Mission accomplished.

Stan and Louise got into some action today, and enjoyed 60 degree temperatures on the river. They traveled up from down south to fish with us and to see what the Klamath had to offer.

Headed north to the Umpqua River for the weekend and day one was a blast. We got into some serious chrome and heard drag peeling all day. The river is loaded with fish, and everyone was catching fish and having a good time.

Jesse and Robert fished the lower Klamath River with us today and we found some fresh winter chrome. The bite was hot sidedrifting, and Jesse got his largest steelhead ever.

The low, cold, and clear water has made for some slow days. Bob and Ray didn't give up and ended up with some nice Klamath River half pounders.
